Grab the kids in your life and watch this short video from our friends at Earth NOW. As of late July 2013, the North Pole, for the first time, is a “lake” and the reality of an ice free arctic within a few decades is being accepted by most scientists. Many governments, companies and maybe even Santa are beginning to plan for this new reality!

This video, released early in 2013, is a wonderful explanation of how a warming arctic creates extreme weather conditions for many of us, as the jet stream “wobbles” and changes it’s course and direction from the steady, consistent course that it has been traveling for most of human history.
