Great Music Video: Earth to Humans Wake Up!

Spring is here, the flowers are blooming and for many families it’s time for picnics in the park, walks on the beach and barbeques in your own backyard. As we enjoy and cherish making memories with family and friends, take a few minutes, grab the kids in your life and watch this powerful music video by Canadian hip hop artist Gaiaisi.

Pronounced Gaia’s EyeGaia is the Greek word for Earth. This music video “Change the Earth,” helps us see and feel what our current journey looks like, how the path we are traveling, consciously or unconsciously is accelerating climate change and how we are impacting our natural world, putting many irreplaceable species, including ourselves, at risk.

Gaiaisi lyrics remind us that “change don’t come” by itself and we better “wake up.” The video is haunting, beautiful and inspiring. We think the kids in your life will think you are “pretty cool” too, when you introduce them to the music and videos of Gaiaisi! The footage used in the video is so very, very, powerful. In a few short minutes, we can clearly grasp how significant music can be as a tool and vehicle to really ‘change the world.’

We are thrilled and honored that Gaiaisi reached out to us at ClimateMama to help share his message. We love too, that Gaiaisi has worked with so many wonderful organizations in putting this video together, including The Climate Reality Project. We hope that all our Climate Mamas and Papas will help us share this special video too.

familybeachTalk to the kids in your life today. While you are relaxing and kicking back and enjoying time together, take some time to think about and discuss what your family can do to be part of the solution. Create a family plan that you can put into place over the summer. Utilize your family’s own unique skills, passions and ideas to help create a more sustainable tomorrow and today – for all our families. If we begin now, the future can be so much brighter!

Yours,

Climate Mama
