Its a wRAP: February 26th, 2010

Did you know February 27th is Polar Bear Day? According to the National Wildlife Federation we should all take a moment on the 27th to celebrate and think about these incredible creatures, whose future existence is endangered due to Climate Change. In Climate Mama News this week, we sit down with Keri Grist, VP of Marketing for Offsetters, the first official supplier of carbon offsets to the Olympic Movement. Our Video Peek of the Week is a look at an Offsetters spoof on climate change, through the eyes of some “bob-wheeling” champs. In the News we look at how sociologists are helping us understand why individuals can look at the facts on climate change and come to diametrically opposite conclusions!

Join us this week in welcoming our newest partner, The Climate Summit. The Climate Summit will hold its first conference, in a series of virtual conferences, on April 18, 2010, using 21st century TelePresence technology. Be part of the “future,” from the comfort of your own office or home. The Climate Summit is bringing together leading personalities from the climate and environmental movements from around the world. As a way to minimize a conference goer’s carbon footprint, TelePresence allows you to attend the conference “in person” from the world over. Registration is free and easy, check out The Climate Summit for more information and to register. Last but not least, if you haven’t “meet” our February Climate Papa, Paul Reale, please take a moment and do so!

Happy Polar Pear Day, from Climate Mama to you!
