It's a wRAP – Friday, February 5, 2010

This week, as the Haiti crisis continues to unfold, we wanted to share with you information about an American organization bringing “light” to the darkness in Haiti. A doctor friend of ours from Portland has brought LightHaiti to our attention, and we wanted to bring it to yours. Check out how you can help LightHaiti, which is supplying solar flashlights to organizations on the ground,  in Haiti. In the News this week we look to Iqaluit on Baffin Island in Canada where the average February temperature can fall to minus 25 degrees F. Many of the world’s central bankers and finance ministers are meeting this weekend on Baffin Island; we trust they are bringing their long underwear! In Climate Mama news we continue our look at the Vancouver Winter Olympics, this week with a peak at HOW the Olympics hope to become climate neutral. We want to introduce you to our February Climate Papa, Paul Reale, who is the Founder of Green Allowance. And finally, don’t miss our “Video Peek of the Week.” Last week we looked at how our teens and college students are demanding action on climate change, this week we showcase some of our younger children, who remind us we aren’t off the hook yet!
