Mother’s Day wishes and Bottled Water Ban: It’s a wRAP: May 7, 2010

shutterstock_106641731For all our Climate Mamas…wishing you a Happy Mother’s Day…and for you Climate Papas that might be looking for a “special” gift for those socially conscious, caring moms in your life, we have a few ideas for last minute mother’s day or future “special” day gifts. Oxfam has some unique gift ideas including: “planting” a vegetable garden or “buying” a water purifier for someone in need in a developing country, check out Oxfam for more ideas. Treehugger has just announced their “Best of Green” in eight categories, including health and beauty, so have a look! And FYI, this week, our friends at Toms Shoes are celebrating their 4th birthday. Help them celebrate by buying some special shoes for the Mama, the Papa, or the kids in your life. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Toms Shoes, for every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. “One for One”, that’s their moto. Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good is what Toms is all about, a premise we all need to remember and try to emulate. In honor of moms, we have a “new” product to share with you “just listed” in our product and services data base.
